A New, State-of-the-Art, Charter High School Set to Take 350 + Students Into the Future – Their Future
Nicknamed “The Comets” … The Comets are Coming …
The newest of 6 Career Success Charter High Schools in the valley will opens its doors September 13th to a population of eager students who can’t wait to start the new school year in “The Domes.” Located just east of downtown Phoenix at 25th Street and Jefferson stand four brightly colored structures painted like the planets – Earth, Jupiter, Saturn and Nepture – the blue planet.
Named after the founder of Career Success High Schools 10 years ago, the new Robert L. Duffy High School is totally solar powered, equipped with the latest technology, and will offer its students both a strong academic curriculum and career classes allowing them to take a serious look at their interests, passion, talents, etc in order for them to start making some decisions about their future after graduation.
Our job is to help them prepare for the future. Career classes are offered in: Medical, Nutrition and Health Fields, Computer Technology and Graphic Design, “Green” Technology, Performing and Recording Arts, Culinary, Business Programs studying marketing, management ,finance, sales, and retail, Business Entrepreneurship – owning my own business - is one of our most popular programs.
The new buildings are architecturally designed to create 4 monolithic dome-shaped structures that will house a 25,000 sq ft high school complete with 18 classrooms, a 130 seat auditorium/planetarium, high-tech recording studio, full-court gymnasium with elevated running track, a state-of-the-art computer lab supporting classroom technology and integrated science/math labs.
